Mayor Ed Lee helps celebrate the grand openings of 491 31st Ave and 1009 Masonic Ave

On October 25th, the Mayor celebrated the grand opening of 1009 Masonic Ave (Arc Mercy Community) in the Haight. The former residential care facility was renovated into 16 studio units for developmental disabled households that will enable them to live independently. The building is also one of the last developments to receive capital funding from HUD’s Section 811 program. 16 units receive operating subsidies HUD so that residents only pay 30% of their income toward rent.

On October 18th, the Mayor celebrated the grand opening of 491 31st Ave, a 75-unit former public housing building for seniors and disabled households in the Outer Richmond.
