Under general supervision, the Program Evaluation Specialist at the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development performs a variety of activities related to data-driven program improvements. This position will work in a highly collaborative environment and assist with the department’s efforts to move toward better outcomes and racial equity with its programs and services and to maximize the impact of program resources. Strategies will include enhanced data utilization, setting key performance indicators, and building the capacity of MOHCD staff and MOHCD partner agencies. This is a limited duration position dedicated to furthering the department’s equitable evaluation work. This work will include supporting an interdepartmental equitable evaluation working group, piloting a framework to assess the effectiveness of specific department initiatives, such as the HOPE SF and the African American Community Stabilization programs, and identifying best practices that could be utilized for department-wide program evaluation.
The essential functions include being a key member of the Data Analysis, Evaluation and Compliance team that provides data analyses and oversees compliance related to local, state and federally funded community-based organizations that provide a variety of social services and affordable housing to low-and-moderate income residents of San Francisco. This work aims to support San Franciscans with affordable housing opportunities and essential services to build strong communities.
