  • Affordable rental housing for seniors

    MOHCD helped build affordable housing especially for low-income residents over 62. Each property has its own waiting list and application process. Contact each office directly for information about unit availability, rents and income limits.

  • General rental housing

    MOHCD sometimes has listings for seniors on DAHLIA, the online rental application portal. Otherwise, you can apply for general rental housing.

  • Dept of Aging and Adult Services

    1650 Mission Street

    DAAS of the SF Human Services Agency coordinates services for older adults, veterans, people with disabilities, and their families to maximize safety, health, and independence.

  • Legal Assistance to the Elderly

    1663 Mission St., Suite 225
    Mon - Fri: 9 AM-12 PM & 1 PM-5 PM

    LAE provides free legal assistance for seniors and people with disabilities with housing issues.

  • Self-Help for the Elderly

    Self-Help for the Elderly offers home care, senior housing, activity centers, employment services, and nutrition services.

  • Institute on Aging

    3575 Geary Boulevard

    The Institute on Aging provides support, health, counseling, and educational services for the elderly.


Swords to Plowshares

Swords to Plowshares is a community-based, not-for-profit veteran service organization that offers employment and training, legal services, supportive housing, and health and social services.
