AVAILABILITY OF PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATIONS

BY THE CITIZENS’ COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

FOR THE

2002 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG),

EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT (ESG),

HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP (HOME) and

HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS (HOPWA) PROGRAMS

Hearing Date: Monday, March 25th, 2002 @ 5:30 p.m.

The Citizens’ Committee on Community Development (CCCD) invites interested parties to attend a public hearing on the preliminary funding recommendations for the federally funded CDBG, ESG, HOME and HOPWA Programs. The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments on the preliminary recommendations.

Beginning March 15, 2002, copies of the 2002 Preliminary Recommendations will be available at the Mayor’s Office of Community Development, 25 Van Ness Avenue, Suite 700. If you have any questions regarding the public hearing, please call (415) 252-3100.

· For accessible/wheelchair MUNI information, please call (415) 923-6142.

· Accessible street parking is available at Grove St. and Van Ness Ave. and at McAllister St. and Van Ness Ave.

· Accessible seating for persons with disabilities (including those using wheelchairs) is available.

· A sound enhancement system is used at the hearing.

· An American Sign Language interpreter or a reader is available by advance request. Please contact Eugene Flannery at (415) 252-3135, (415) 252-3107 (TDD) at least 72 hours prior to the hearing. Late requests will be honored if possible.

· In order to assist the City’s efforts to accommodate chemically sensitive individuals, please refrain from the use of chemically-based products.
