1. Meeting called to order 6:00 P.M.
- Approval August 21, 2006, and September 18, 2006 minutes.

Director's Report – Fred Blackwell: Fred informed the CCCD Committee Members that the RFP scheduled has been moved up. The Needs Public Hearings dates will be October 18, and October 26, at 6:00 p.m., both meetings will be held at City Hall in room 263.
- DCYF Presentation – Margaret Brodkin: Margaret gave a presentation on DFYF's Children's Services Allication Plan 2007 – 2010. (see handout)
Committee Conments:
Ralph Romberg expressed concern about the fragmentation of the allocation plan. He expressed that he felt that the large number of initiatives and grantees were nearly impossible to track in terms of monitoring and impact.
Rene felt like the plan highlighted the need for overall coordination regarding community building, efforts in the city especially as it relates to connecting to ordinary citizens in addition to community groups. He expressed that without that overall coordination the impact of the funding plan presented will be minimized.
Alexis felt that it was a good plan and she appreciated having the opportunity to see a preview.
- New Business – Vincent Choa said that based on feedback that he had received from the letter that was sent to Committee Members that he would like to propose mailing the agenda and minutes out prior to the meetings that that everyone receives a reminder phone call or e-mail message about upcoming meetings.
