Re: Term Limit for Surplus Property Citizens’ Advisory Committee Members
This is to inform you that the one-year term limit for the following Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC) Members of the Surplus City Property Program will expire on January 18, 2006.
Appointed by the Mayor:
1. Mr. Bruce Engle – Broadly represents the interest of San Francisco’s neighborhoods
2. Ms. Jill Fox – Advocates on behalf of open space and/or neighborhood parks
Appointed by the Board of Supervisors:
1. Ms. Jamie Armstrong – Experience in providing supportive services to help individuals and families exit homelessness
2. Mr. Scott Clark – Currently or formerly homeless
3. Ms. Ana Gutierrez – Currently or formerly homeless with their family or is an advocate or service provider for homeless families
The 13-member CAC includes 8 members appointed by the Board, 2 members appointed by the Mayor and 3 ex-officio members (the Director of MOH, the Director of the Mayor’s Budget Office, and the Chair of the Finance Committee).
The Citizens’ Advisory Committee is charged with reviewing the suitability of sites for housing or services for homeless persons, holding public hearings regarding the transfer of suitable sites to appropriate developers, and making recommendations to the Board and Mayor regarding disposition of these surplus city-owned properties.
