Homeownership preservation programs for income eligible San Francisco homeowners
MOHCD provides low or no interest loans and grants. Homeowners can use the funds for repairs and one time financial hardships.
After you use any of these services, you will have to follow rules for MOHCD program homeowners.
COVER Loan (Code Violation Rehab)
Fix code violations received from the Department of Building Inspections.
Get a one-time emergency loan for an unforeseen financial hardship. (Previously known as MALP.)
CalHOME Rehab Program
Make repairs and accessibility modifications to your home.
Remediate lead hazards in your home.
The Community Opportunity to Purchase Act (COPA) gives qualified non-profit organizations the right of first offer or the refusal to purchase eligible properties on the market. The program will prevent tenant displacement and create long-term affordability.
Details for this new program will be available in September 2019.
The following are subject to COPA:
- Properties that are 3 or more units
- Vacant land that could be developed into 3 or more units
